Ashlanders are environmentally conscientious!  We take the trouble to separate trash into the appropriate bins.  We are mindful of discarding even small wrappers and such.  We use non-plastic items as much as possible.  We are also transitioning away from single-use items and to incorporating more packaging & products which can be re-used and repurposed.  Many stores offer food storage and bowl covers which are very versatile, reducing your need to buy stretch wrap or plastic containers.  Don't throw that coffee can away!   Just remove the label from empty cans,  jars & other containers.  You can even let the kids decorate them.

Your friendly team at MailStop are big fans of the environment, too, and we try to do our part to “keep it green” by recycling whenever and whatever we can.  We welcome the Ashland community and our venerated S.O.U. (Southern Oregon University) students to bring in those empty care package boxes that mom & dad send you.  New electronics?  Bring the packaging into the store located just off Ashland Street near Walker Ave.  We'll take these things off your hand and put them to good use. Don't worry if they have old shipping labels or stickers on them - those can be covered over. The only boxes we can't reuse are ones that have alcoholic beverage logos, and we generally don't reuse USPS-branded boxes because they limit the shipping services available.

As a professional packing, shipping, printing and business services center in Ashland, OR, we have many opportunities to recycle — so feel free to bring us your packing materials. 

Boxes, bubble wrap, even tape can be an additional charge at other stores -- but not when you ship with us at Mailstop! We'll take your gently-used materials off your hands and utilize them for future shipments so that our customers don't have to worry about material costs on top of the price of postage. If we can't find a use for it ourselves, we'll recycle it!
